The Ursuline College lacrosse team concluded the regular season sweep of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference with a 17-3 win over visiting Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon.
The Arrows scored back-to-back goals in the opening two minutes when freshman
Abigail Neeley and junior
Maddie Kipp found the back of the net. The Senators cut the deficit to 2-1 on a goal at the 27:22 mark of the first half.
Ursuline responded with eight unanswered goals to build a 10-1 lead with 12:05 to play in the first half. The Arrows took a 14-2 lead into the half.
In the second half, Ursuline added three goals, one from senior
Sabrina Kinney, one from junior
Sarah Kiefer and the final goal from freshman
Emma Barnes.
Ursuline outshot Davis & Elkins 26-15 in the game and only committed eight turnovers.

Lauren Cole made nine saves in her return to the net for Ursuline.
Kipp led Ursuline with four goals while Kiefer and sophomore
Cydney Bartlett each had three. Freshman
Hayley Mazreku added two goals as did junior
Anika Aberegg.
The Arrows will host the winner of Friday's Semi-Final match between Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus in the first-ever G-MAC lacrosse championship game.
The tournament will be hosted at Ursuline with Friday's game being played at 1:30 PM and Saturday's championship game at 2:00 PM.Â
