The Ursuline College basketball team hit a season-high 16 three-pointers in an 89-71 road victory of Lake Erie College on Tuesday night.

Ursuline hit the first three-pointer of the game before Lake Erie answered with 10-0 run to take an early 10-3 lead. The Arrows ended the quarter on an 11-4 run of their own capped off by a late layup by sophomore
Christiana Jefferson to tie the game 14-14 after one.

With the game tied 16-16 early in the second quarter, the Arrows went on a 12-4 run that included two three-pointers from senior
Erica Huber and another from sophomore
Natalie Koenig to build a 28-20 lead. Koenig buried another triple to extend the lead to double digits at 31-20 at the 4:55 mark in the first half.

Ursuline took a 37-28 lead into the intermission.

The Arrows used a 29-point third quarter to help extend the lead. Redshirt junior
Laney Lewis had back-to-back baskets to help build the lead to 54-42 with 4:02 to play in the third. Lewis buried another jumper and Huber connected on a three-pointer to make it 61-47.

Ursuline shot 54 percent (32-for-59) from the field and was a season-high 16-for-25 from behind the three-point line on the night while Lake Erie shot 37 percent (28-for-76) from the floor and went 7-for-20 from three. Ursuline also had a season-high 25 assists on its 32 field goals.

The Arrows were led by a dominant all-around performance from Lewis who finished with her fifth-straight double-double. Lewis had 24 points on 11-for-16 from the floor including 2-for-2 from three. Lewis also pulled down 21 rebounds, dished out eight assists and had six blocked shots.

Koenig poured in 21 points on 8-for-13 from the floor and also went 5-for-8 from three and also dished out seven assists. Huber finished with 19 points and also hit five three-pointers.

Ursuline will return home after Thanksgiving break to take on the #5 ranked California University of Pennsylvania at 2:00 PM.Â
