Hill's 32-points Leads Arrows past Ohio Christian 84-64

The short-handed Ursuline Arrows earned their third straight win with an 84-64 victory over visiting Ohio Christian University on Saturday afternoon. The win improves Ursuline to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 at home.

The Arrows and Trailblazers traded baskets in the early going before a layup by sophomore Camille Gist (Toledo/Toledo Christian) sparked a 7-0 run to put Ursuline in front 17-8 midway through the period. Ursuline led 23-7 after one quarter.

Freshman Brigan Wymer (Delta/Delta) built the lead to seven at 26-19 after hitting a three early in the second quarter and junior Erica Huber (Anna/Anna) and sophomore Camryn Hill (Strongsville/Strongsville) had back-to-back baskets to make it 30-21.

The Arrows built their largest lead of the half at 40-30 when Hill ended the half with a pair of makes from the free throw line.

Hill was 6-for-12 from the floor in the first half and had 16 points and 15 boards at the break en route to a career-high 32-point performance to go along with a career-best 19 rebounds in 39 minutes of play.

Wymer finished with 17 points and dished out three assists and also had two steals while Huber had 14 points and freshman Christiana Jefferson (Toledo/Toledo Notre Dame) had 13 points and five assists.

Ursuline shot 47 percent (29-for-61) from the field and 39 percent (7-for-18) from the three-point line while Ohio Christian was 40 percent (27-for-67) from the field and 27 percent (6-for-22) form beyond the arc.

The Arrows were nearly perfect from the charity stripe as they connected on 19-of-20 from the line. The Trailblazers won the rebounding battle 34-33 and each team had 13 turnovers on the afternoon.

Ursuline will head out on the road on Wednesday as they travel to Mercyhurst to take on the Lakers. Tip-off is set for 5:30pm and the game will be streamed live on the UC Sports Network.
