The Ursuline College basketball team improved to 5-1 overall on the season with a 100-58 win over visiting Wilberforce on Wednesday evening.

The Arrows trailed 6-5 early in the first quarter before a three-pointer by junior Erica Huber (Anna/Anna) sparked a 7-0 run and Ursuline did not look back from there.
Sophomore Camryn Hill (Strongsville/Strongsville) capped a 12-2 run that helped build a 20-8 lead for the Arrows late in the first quarter. Ursuline led 28-13 at the end of the first.

Ursuline put together a solid defensive second quarter that saw them outscore Wilberforce 27-10 to take a 55-23 lead into the intermission. Freshman Brigan Wymer (Delta/Delta) led the Arrows in the first half with a 14 point 11 rebound performance.

The Arrows cooled off from a 62 percent shooting clip in the first half and Wilberforce outscored Ursuline 21-14 in the frame but still trailed 69-44 at the end of three.

Ursuline shot 49 percent for the game and were 26-for-34 (77 percent) from the free throw line on the night. The Arrows held a 56-38 edge in rebounding including 17 on the offensive end. The Arrows have now broken the century mark twice on the sesaon, both coming at home.Â

The Arrows were led by a career-high 25 points from Huber, 20 of which came in the second half including three more from beyond-the-arc. Wymer finished with 21 points and a career-high 15 rebounds while Hill added 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Ursuline will be at home again on Saturday afternoon when they host Ohio Christian at 2:00 PM. The game will be streamed live through the UC Sports Network.
