The Ursuline College basketball opened their new home gym by hitting the century mark in a 100-69 win over visiting Lake Erie College on Tuesday night.
The Arrows (2-0) trailed 14-13 in the first quarter before a steal by redshirt sophomore Laney Lewis (Lynchburg/Lynchburg Clay) led to an easy lay-up followed by a three-pointer from freshman Brigan Wymer (Delta/Delta) Ursuline in front 18-14 and sparked a 9-0 run.

A lay-up by sophomore Camryn Hill (Strongsville/Strongsville) and a pair of free throws by Lewis capped the run and gave the Arrows a 22-14 lead late in the first.

Leading 28-18 after one, Ursuline picked right back up where they left off in the second quarter on the offensive end when freshman Natalie Koenig (Waueson/Waueson) buried a three-pointer to make it 31-18. Hill finished a lay-up in transition late in the second quarter to give the Arrows their biggest lead of the game thus far at 48-29.

Ursuline led 50-44 at the intermission.

In the second half, Lake Erie (2-1) had a better quarter offensively but still had no answer for the Arrows on the defensive end of the floor. The Arrows built their lead to 70-43 with 3:15 to play in the third quarter on a drive and finish by freshman Christiana Jefferson (Toledo/Toledo Notre Dame).

With 1:07 remaining senior Raven-Symone Nelson buried a three to make it 99-68 and sophomore Camille Gist (Toledo/Toledo Christian) spilt a pair of free throws to give the Arrows the 100-point performance.

Ursuline was a season-best 31-for-35 from the free throw line and shot 48 percent from the field for the game. The Arrows hit a season high 11 threes and had 22 assists on 29 field goals.

The Storm shot 37 percent from the floor and were 7-for-29 from the three-point line.

The Arrows had five players in double figures led by a career-high from Hill with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Junior Erica Huber (Anna/Anna) finished with 18 points, including four from beyond the arc while Wymer added 18 points and four assists. Lewis finished had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Koenig had 11 points and a career high eight assists.

Ursuline will head out on the road this weekend to take on Saint Joseph's College (Indiana) on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM EST. Â
