ELKINS, W. Va. - The Ursuline College soccer team dropped its first Great Midwest Athletic Conference match of the season by a score of 1-0 at Davis & Elkins College on Saturday (Oct. 11) afternoon.

Laia Margenat Dordas scored 5:14 into the game and that was it. The Arrows, who had their five-match winning streak snapped but remain in first place with 18 points, are now 10-3 overall and 6-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

D&E improved to 6-2-4 overall and 4-1-2 in the G-MAC. The Senators, the defending G-MAC champions, are 3-0-2 at home.

Ursuline took eight shots, nine fewer than Davis & Elkins. Both goalkeepers - UC sophomore Helen Jazzar and D&E senior Ashley Winkelspecht - made five stops.

The Arrows will host Marygrove College on Wednesday (Oct. 15) at 3:30 p.m. Earlier versions of the schedule had that game being played in Detroit but it has been moved to Pepper Pike.

Max Radigan will call the action live on the Ursuline College Sports Network.
