The Ursuline College lacrosse team and head coach Ed Karasek announced the hiring of Olivia Lash as an assistant coach for the 2016-17 season.
Lash, a Cleveland Heights native, first attended Division I San Diego State University on a lacrosse scholarship where she played for one season before transferring to Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
At Cleveland Heights High School, Lash was a First Team All-Ohio selection as well as First Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-America. She was also a member of the Ohio Premier travel team.
During her senior season with the Tigers, as team captain, she helped lead the team to a 13-4 record by scoring 63 goals and dishing out 15 assists for a total of 78 points. The 63 goals scored were the most by any player that season in the NCAC.
She graduated from Wittenberg as the fifth all-time leading goal scorer with 144 in only three years on the team.
Lash holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and has a minor in Sociology.
Ursuline won the inaugural G-MAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in 2016 and will open the 2017 season on March 1 at Baldwin Wallace.
