Ursuline College Athletics

2013: Appeared in 24 games and made 19 starts…started in the outfield but also played some shortstop when the team was decimated by injuries…hit .132 (5-38) with three runs scored…also drove in two runs…collected her first career hit on a run-scoring single against Mount Ida (March 11)…was 2-2 with a double and two runs scored in a win over Baldwin Wallace (April 14)…singled and scored against Cedarville (April 20)…drove home a run in the season finale against Urbana (May 2)…finished the year with a .917 fielding percentage after committing four errors in 48 chances.

William Mason High School: Played basketball and softball all four years for the Comets…helped her basketball team reach the ‘Elite Eight’ during the 2011-12 season after a ‘Sweet 16’ appearance in 2010-11…on the diamond, the Comets were district champions in both 2010 and 2012…recipient of the ‘Comet Award,’ given to a versatile player who is coachable, encouraging to her teammates and a team player.

Personal: Born February 3, 1995 in Mason, Ohio…daughter of John and Sheryl Garner...has two siblings: Clayton and Bria…intends to major in nursing…earned the English Award in high school in addition to volunteering with youth soccer programs.
