Ursuline College Athletics

2013: Named the team’s ‘Most Valuable Player’…one of two Arrows to start all 32 games…made 31 starts at first base and one as the DP…finished fourth on the club with a .281 (25-89) batting average and was also fourth in slugging (.348)…her .347 on-base percentage was second on the team…hit .360 (9-25) with runners in scoring position and was successful on six of her seven (.857) attempts at driving in a run from third with less than two outs…with two down, she hit at a .382 (13-34) clip...finished the year with five multi-hit and three multi-RBI games...in the last 16 games of the season, she was 15-43 (.349) at the dish with eight RBIs and four runs scored...in a doubleheader against St. Joseph (March 16), she was 4-6 (.667) with two doubles and five runs scored…defensively, she had just two errors in 219 chances to finish with a .991 fielding percentage, the third best in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference…also made four appearances in the circle and went 1-1 with a 3.11 ERA…earned the win against Cumberlands (March 13) after she got the start and didn’t allow a run on three hits in her four innings of work.

2012: Shared team Most Valuable Player honors with Miranda Boggs…started all 39 games…hit .293 (34-116) with three doubles…her 34 hits were the second most on the team…with runners in scoring position, she hit .302 (19-63)…drove in 17 runs – tying her for most on the team - and scored 13 times herself…third on the team with 37 total bases…drew 10 walks, tying her for second on the club…had 10 multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits against Salem International University on April 27…had two RBIs in five separate games...also made seven appearances in the circle, including two starts...finished with an 0-1 record and a 2.28 ERA in 15.1 innings...of the 11 runs scored while she was in the circle, only five were earned.

2011: Debuted for the Arrows and started in 24 games while playing primarily at first base...credited with 144 putouts and assisted on nine other outs...offensively, she scored eight runs and drove in seven...also pitched 12 innings.

Colonel Crawford High School: Played basketball and softball for the Eagles and earned four varsity letters in each sport…twice earned all-conference accolades, once earning second team accolades before culminating in first team honors.

Personal: Born July 3, 1991 in North Robinson, Ohio…daughter of Chuck and Julie Huggins…has two older brothers: Chuck and Neil…majoring in adolescent to young adult language arts and math education…member of the National Honor Society and served as president of her high school’s chapter…serves as a resident assistant and student ambassador at Ursuline.
