Biography

2013: Made 23 appearances in the circle and was the starter 19 times…finished 4-12 with an ERA of 3.67…recorded 78 strikeouts compared to just 25 walks in her 97.1 innings of work…went the distance 10 times…her 78 strikeouts ranked her third in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and she was also third in the conference with 23 appearances while her 19 starts were the most by a G-MAC student-athlete…her 97.1 innings were the fourth most by any pitcher in the G-MAC…had five games of 7+ strikeouts, including a career-high 11 against Montreat (March 15)…during the Spring Break trip, she went 3-2 with a 1.25 ERA while striking out 45 and walking just five batters…at the plate, she was 5-29 (.172) with four RBIs…also scored two runs…successful in both her of pinch hit at-bats…in the April 14 win over Baldwin Wallace, she came off the bench to drive home the go-ahead run as part of a six-run sixth inning…finished with an .875 fielding percentage after making four errors in 32 chances.

2012: Made 12 appearances in the circle and started three games…logged 30.2 innings and finished the year with a 6.16 earned run average…her record was 0-2 with her first loss coming in a complete game effort against Westminster College (March 28) when she surrendered just three earned runs…also earned a two-inning save when she had three strikeouts against La Roche College on April 20 to preserve Ursuline’s 7-6 victory…recorded 16 strikeouts…at the plate, she was 0-11.

2011: Started 18 games overall, nine of which came in the circle...defensively, she had 11 assists...she pitched 44 innings and recorded 37 strikeouts.

Maranacook High School: Was named first team All-KVAC four times...four-time KVAC 'Player of the Year'...named to the Kennebec Journal first team after all four varsity seasons and earned the publication’s ‘Player of the Year’ award...received all-state honorable mention status from the Portland Telegram...recorded 500 strikeouts in three seasons...played for the Frozen Ropes travel team...also played field hockey and basketball and graduated with 11 varsity pins.

Personal: Born November 18, 1991 in Fayette, Maine…daughter of Marty and Linda Maxwell…has a brother, Joseph…majoring in nursing…recipient of numerous academic awards including ‘Excellence in Science’ and ‘Excellence in Technology’…volunteers her time with a wide array of organizations, ranging from coordinating blood drive efforts to coaching youth teams.
