The Arrow's flag football team opened their inaugural season this past weekend at Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH). The team competed in two games, splitting 1-1. The Arrows lost to Bowling Green 6-28 and won against Heidelberg 25-12.
Against Bowling Green, Ky'Ziya Minor scored the touchdown for the Arrows. Minor also had one interception, four flag pulls, and over 50 rushing yards. Isabella Brancati made one interception. Brooklin Shropshire-Turman made two receptions, six flag pulls, and over 50 rushing yards. Madisyn Hampton made three receptions, three defensive deflections, and six flag pulls. Selena Ertell-Easley made two flag pulls, one sack, and over 50 yards rushing. Bridget Bogden had two receptions, two interceptions, and five flag pulls.
While competing against Heidelberg, Brooklin Shropshire-Turman made three rushing touchdowns, three flag pulls, two sacks, and 100 yards rushing. Ellie Zoeckler had three receptions for the Arrows. Lisa Noga made one interception and two sacks. Ky'Ziya Minor scored one rushing touchdown and had one rushing extra point. Bridget Bogden made one interception against Heidelberg.
The team will compete again on April 11th at Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH).
