The Arrows competed this past Friday at the 4th Annual Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Meet.
In the sprints,
Quincy Miller competed in the 60m dash prelims and finals. Miller placed 7
th overall in the 60m dash with a time of 7.21.
Micah Earnest placed 4
th overall in the 400m with a time of 52.29 (converted to 51.47 from a flat track to a banked/oversized track).
It was the first time an Arrow competed in the 1000m, and
Ryan Jeanneret and
Thelonius Lucien did not disappoint. Jeanneret and Lucien both had strong efforts in the Men's 1000m placing 2
nd and 4
th overall with a time of 2:32.93 (converted to 2:30.85) and 2:33.88 (converted to 2:31.79) respectively. That time of 2:32.93 (converted to 2:30.85) stands as a program record for the Arrows.
Doubling up in the distance events,
Austin Sneed and
Tyler Krese took on the Mile and 800m double. In the Mile, Sneed placed 2
nd overall in a time of 4:39.93 (converted to 4:36.41) and teammate Krese placed 6
th overall with a time of 5:18.22 (converted to 5:14.21). Coming back in the 800m, Sneed and Krese placed 9
th & 11
th overall in a time of 2:10.55 (converted to 2:08.71) and 2:19.05 (converted to 2:17.09).
The Arrows close out the regular season and turn their focus to the G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 27-28, hosted by Ashland University.
