Double Overtime Loss for Lacrosse at Franklin

FIRST HALF
  • The Arrows took charge to start the game, Kimoree Colbert scoring in the first 1:15 of play on a free position shot.
  • After winning the draw, Emma Aguilar scored for UC just 30 second later.
  • The Grizzlies tied the game up 2-2 and Grace Darone answered at the 1:46 mark after winning the draw herself.
  • FC tied it up once again in the first quarter before Colbert put in the fourth goal for UC on yet another free position shot.
  • Franklin turned it on in the second quarter, scoring six goals as Ursuline missed their 8 shot attempts.
  • The Grizzlies led 4-9 at the break.
 
SECOND HALF
  • The Arrows chipped away the Franklin's lead in the third quarter, the first goal coming from Aguilar on a free position shot.
  • Colbert followed up with the sixth goal after a successful UC clear at the 8:50 mark.
  • With defense holding strong, Marygrace Hendershot scored the final goal of the quarter to bring the game within two.
  • Yet another free position goal by Colbert went in within five minutes of the fourth quarter.
  • Just one minute later, Juergens made quick work to get Hendershot the ball to set her up with the game tying goal.
  • The Arrows battled and Hendershot took the lead for the team on a free position shot at the 6:14 mark to go up 10-9.
  • With just 9 seconds on the clock, the Grizzlies tied the game up at 10-10 to go into overtime.
 
OVERTIME
  • The Arrows had their shot at the game winning goal in the first overtime has Hendershot lined up for a free position attempt. A save by the Grizzlies forced the game into double OT.
  • A man up goal by Franklin came at the 2:30 mark of OT2 to secure the sudden death win for the Grizzlies.

  • Marygrace Hendershot had 3 goals and went 6 for 9 on shots on goal.
