Basketball Celebrates Senior Day In Win Over Storm

URSULINE VS. STORM

FIRST HALF
  • The Storm opened up the game with a quick 6 point lead before Stottsberry put the Arrows on the board with a layup. A three pointer from Dziak sent her team rolling on their 11 point run to take a lead.
  • Lake Erie pushed back after the media timeout to regain their lead 11-12. Both teams traded shots until Ursuline took the final five point run for the lead.
  • With 5 lead changes in the first quarter, UC held strong to maintain their small lead in the second quarter.
  • Both teams dropped off in shooting, the Arrows at just 21.4% from the field and the Storm at 16.7%.
  • The Arrows outshot the Storm 10-7 in the second quarter to lead 28-21 at the break.
 
SECOND HALF
  • As UC slowly picked up their shooting to 40%, they held LEC to 25% in the third quarter to hold onto their lead.
  • The Arrows narrowly outscored the Storm 11-9 in the third, leading by nine points before the final quarter.
  • The Storm had an incredible fourth quarter push, shooting 84.6% (11-13) from the field while the Arrows shot 50% (7-14).
  • LEC brought the game within 4 points with 11 seconds left on the clock. A set of free throws by Dziak put the Arrows up by 6 points. The final 10 seconds weren't enough for the Storm to tie the game.
  • Ursuline took the win with a 59-55 senior day victory.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 43.1% (22-51), Storm 39.6%  (21-53)
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 33.3% (4-12), Storm 10% (1-10)
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 78.6% (11-14), Storm 85.7% (12-14)
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 34 (11 offensive), Storm 31 (9 offensive)
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 9/21, Storm 5/19.
  • The Arrows had a well dispersed offense, Kamryn Dziak leading the way with 14 points and 3 assists.
  • Madyson Stottsberry followed up with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
  • Riley Stopp added in 10 points while Dominique Evans had 9.
