Arrows Power Past Panthers At Home

LOCATION: Ursuline College | Pepper Pike, OH

FIRST HALF
  • Opening up the first quarter with back-and-forth play put the game tied 5-5 before the Arrows took charge of the game. At the 4:32 mark, Stopp put in a layup that sent them on an 11-2 run to end the quarter.
  • Ursuline's defense held the Panthers to shoot their lowest FG% of the game at 14.3% (2-14) while UC shot 58.3% (7-12).
  • Kamryn Dziak shot 100% across the stat board to put in 7 total points in the first quarter.
  • The Panthers bounced back quickly in the second, bringing the game within one point (19-18) at 6:49. The Arrows went on a heater, firing off three 3-pointers in a row by Stottsberry, Minch, and Mencer for an 11 point unanswered scoring run.
  • ODU tried to put a stop to the run but UC outshot them in the final minutes 5-4, ending on yet another three pointer by Dziak.
  • The Arrows went 4-7 from the arc in the second quarter and tallied 5 assists compared to the Panther's 1.
 
SECOND HALF
  • A messy third quarter had both UC and ODU struggling to hold onto the ball, UC with 16 turnovers and ODU with 10. The Panthers were unable to capitalize on the Arrows TO's while we put in 4 points off their 10 TO's.
  • The Arrows hit a 20 points this quarter and outscored the Panthers 16-10.
  • Both teams picked up play in the final quarter, Ohio Dominican went 10-19 from the field while Ursuline went 6-13.
  • The Panthers sent UC to the free throw line for 10 throws this quarter, the Arrows putting in six of those shot attempts.
  • Stottsberry led the way this quarter with 9 total points.
  • While the Panthers outscored the Arrows 23-20 in the final 10 mins of play, they were unable to close the large gap the Arrows set themselves up with to lock in the win.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 47.2% (25-53), Panthers 36.7%  (22-60)
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 57.1% (8-14), Panthers 33.3% (5-15)
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 65% (13-20), Panthers 72.7% (8-11)
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 41 (12 offensive), Panthers 32 (12 offensive)
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 14/19, Panthers 7/18.
  • Madyson Stottsberry led her team again with 22 total points, she shot 60% (9-15) from the field and 100% (2-2) from the arc. She added in 4 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists.
  • Kamryn Dziak also shot in the double digits with 13 total points in addition to her 4 assists.
  • Ajia Schreffler had 10 points and 7 rebounds while Riley Stopp had 11 rebounds a 7 points.
