Overtime Win At Home to Conclude 2025

FIRST HALF

  • The Pioneers got off to a strong start in the first, pushing a 12 point lead in the first seven minutes of play. 
  • Two back-to-back threes from Kailey Minch flipped the momentum for the Arrows as they fought back within just two points, 15-17, in the first quarter.
  • The Arrows tied it up on a layup from Brooke Haren in the second and forced four different lead changes in the second quarter alone. 
  • UC won the rebounding game this half with 11 offensive rebounds compared to PPU's 5. 
SECOND HALF
  • The Arrows defense shut down the Pioneers three point plays out of the break, causing Point Park to shoot 0% from the arc after their 42.9% in the first. 
  • Taking advantage of their strong defensive play, Ursuline held onto the lead for a total of 7:38 minutes in the third quarter while shooting 46.7% (7-15) from the paint. 
  • The fourth quarter held back and forth action, with PPU and UC trading the lead nine times with seven total ties. 
  • In the final nine second of play, Ajia Schreffler made a layup to tie the game 68-68 before the Pioneers drained two quick free throws. With just 1.5 seconds on the clock, Kailey Minch hit a two pointer to send the game to overtime. 
OVERTIME
  • Courtney Barwick opened up OT setting the pace for the Arrows, making three consecutive layups to go up 76-71.
  • The Pioneers brought the game within two points with 14 seconds on the clock before fouling both Chalon Miles to give UC a safety net. 
  • Another foul on Kailey Minch locked in the Arrows 80-74 overtime win.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 40.5% (32-79), Pioneers 34.8% (24-69)
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 30% (6-20), Pioneers 27.3% (6-22)
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 66.7% (10-15), Pioneers 69% (20-29)
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 33 (10 offensive), Pioneers 43 (13 offensive)
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 51/15, Pioneers 44.12.
  • Kailey Minch was on fire against the Pioneers, scoring a career high of 28 points for the Arrows. She shot a consistent 47.6% from the field and 55.5% from the arc.
  • Courtney Barwick also had a career high today with 18 points. She added in 7 rebounds 
  • Chalon Miles and Ajia Schreffler also scored in the double digits with 13 points each. Schreffler added in 9 rebounds for her team. 
UP NEXT 
  • The Arrows rounded out 2025 on the overtime win. They continue play again in the new year at home.
  • Ursuline will take on Kentucky Wesleyan on January 3rd at 1:00 PM.
