Basketball Falls Short to Chargers in Final Game of Season

URSULINE VS. HILLSDALE
SCORE: Arrows 56 – Chargers 85

FIRST HALF
  • The Chargers took a quick lead in the first quarter, outshooting UC 69.2% to 25%.
  • A final 12-point unanswered scoring run in the first had the Arrows trailing 11-23 going into the second.
  • Hillsdale capitalized on their momentum, adding in another 28 points in the second compared to Ursuline's 12.
  • The fell off in rebounding with just 11 compared to HC's 23.
  • The Arrows trailed 23-51 at the break.
 
SECOND HALF
  • The Arrows bounced back in the third, shooting 50% (8-16) from the field and outscoring Hillsdale 24-19.
  • Riley Stopp had 11 points in the third quarter alone, shooting 100% overall this quarter.
  • However, the run from the Arrows was not enough to stop the Chargers from pushing forward – as they were outscored 9-15 in the final quarter.
  • UC fell 85-56 to HC after trailing them the entirety of the game.

  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 24 (9 offensive), Chargers 37 (9 offensive).

  • Riley Stopp led the Arrows with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.   
  • Madison Cloonan followed up with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

SEASON WRAP UP
  • With the Arrows at an eighth place tie with Findlay to get into the conference tournament, they lose the head-to-head decision maker after falling to Findlay twice this season.
  • The Arrows end their season 17-11 overall and 10-10 in the conference.
