Basketball Takes Home 88-38 Win In Puerto Rico

FIRST HALF
  • The Arrows came out firing, opening the first quarter with a 15 point run to set the tone.
  • UC's defense allowed just 5 points in the first quarter, putting in 26 total points for a strong 21 point lead.
  • The Arrows continued to roll in the second quarter, scoring 10 points off turnovers and 9 fast break points.
  • After shooting well as a team in the first at 57.9%, the Arrows improved by nearly 10% - shooting  66.7% in the second.
  • The Arrows had 14 assists and 10 steals in the first half compared to the Tiger's 4 and 5.
  • Schreffler had 17 points in the first half alone, shooting 72.7% from the field.
 
SECOND HALF
  • The Tigers picked up their defense in the third quarter, forcing Ursuline to drop off in shooting. The Arrows held strong, outshooting the Tigers 18-7.
  • Sophia Kline had nine points in the third quarter alone.
  • The Arrows had their best shooting quarter of the season in the fourth, shooting 90% from the field (9-10) and 100% from the three point line (2-2)
  • UC had great depth this game, specifically in fourth quarter with 12 bench points.
  • The Arrows outscored the Tigers again, 21-12 to take home the 88-38 victory.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 59.7% (37-62), Tigers 24.4% (10-41)
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 35.7% (5-14), Tigers 16.7% (2-12)
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 64.3% (9-14), Tigers 61.5% (16-26)
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 48 (18 offensive), Tigers 12 (4 offensive)
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 25/22, Tigers 8/22.
  • Ajia Schreffler led the team with her career high of 25 points and added in 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
  • Sophia Kline had her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. She added in 7 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks.
  • Sam Stask had a standout day with 14 points, going 55% from the field and 57% from the three point line.
