Arrows Drop Road Game to Cardinals

FIRST HALF
  • The Arrows came out hot from the start, setting the tone with a strong defense and good shooting. The Arrows caused 5 turnovers, scoring 7 points from those in the first quarter alone.
  • UC led by 10 points in the first quarter before SVSU went on a seven point run to end the quarter. The Arrows led 18-15 going into the second.
  • The Cardinals continued this run with another nine point run in the second quarter to give themselves the lead.
  • The Arrows dropped off in shooting, scoring just 7 points in the second quarter compared to the Cardinals 17.
  • Riley Stopp led the Arrows with 8 points as the team went into the break trailing SVSU 25-32.
 
SECOND HALF
  • Ursuline bounced back in the third quarter, shooting their highest FG percentage of 60% this quarter.
  • A seven point scoring run by the Arrows to start the half put them in a good position.
  • At the five minute mark, SVSU started regaining a lead and barely outscored the Arrows 21-20 this quarter.
  • With the Arrows trailing by eight points at the start of the final quarter, they let up a ten point scoring run to put them trailing by 18 points.
  • Despite a strong push by UC, the Cardinals outscored the Arrows 28-14 to take the win.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 51.2% (22-43), Cardinals 50% (31-62)
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 21.4% (3-14), Cardinals 36.8% (7-19)
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 63.2% (12-19), Cardinals 63.2% (12-19
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 32 (5 offensive), Cardinals 25 (8 offensive)
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 17/23, Cardinals 16/9.
  • Sophia Kline had her second double-double of the season, leading the team with 11 rebounds and 12 points. She added in four assists and two steals.
  • Madyson Stottsberry tallied 14 points and 8 rebounds for UC .
  • Riley Stopp and Leah Mencer were both in the double digits for scoring, Stopp with 12 points and 4 assists and Mencer with 10 and 3.

  • The Arrows compete next after Thanksgiving. They travel to Wheeling University on Saturday November 30th to compete at 2:00 PM.
