Stottsberry Hits Career High In Home Opener Loss

FIRST HALF
  • The Falcons took the lead from the jump, as the Arrows had a hard time finding the hoop in the first quarter. FSU outscored UC 20-6 in the first.
  • The Arrows kicked it into gear in the second quarter, improving their shooting from 22.2% to 60% from the field and 50% from the arc.
  • Kailey Minch hit back to back threes to ignite a fire for the Arrows in the second.
  • The Arrows were unable to tie the game up before the break as Fairmont narrowly outscored Ursuline 27-21 in the second quarter.
  • Stottsberry was the Arrows' top scorer this half, shooting 50% from the field with 9 points.
SECOND HALF
  • The Arrows defense was able to shut down Fairmont's top scorer, #21, holding her to just 5 points in the second half compared to 22 in the first.
  • With such a strong lead, the Arrows were unable to chip away as they were outscored by 6 points in the third quarter and 6 in the fourth.
  • UC had 12 points in the paint compared to FSU's 8 but fell off on points off turnovers, FSU scoring 15 compared to UC's 2.
  • The Arrows fell 54-86 in their first home game of the season.

  • Madyson Stottsberry had her career high of 19 points, leading her team in scoring. She also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
  • Riley Stopp followed up shotting 50% from the field, scoring 10 points with 5 rebounds.
  • Sophia Kline led the team in rebounds with 11 total, adding to her four points.
