Arrows Top Walsh to Earn 11th Win

FIRST QUARTER
  • The Cavaliers set the pace the first quarter, leading for 64% of the first ten minutes of play. The Arrows traded off with the lead four times but found themselves trailing a majory of the first.
  • Walsh was unstoppable behind the arc, shooting 71.4% (5-7) while UC led in the field at 50% (8-16).
  • Ursuline was quick to capitalize on opportunities, scoring 8 fast break points and four points off turnovers.
  • A set of free throws and two FGs from Sophia Kline tied the game at 21-21 with 0:16 left in play. She dialed in one last free throw to give the Arrows the lead going into the second.
 
SECOND QUARTER
  • The Arrows fell off in shooting percentage, knocking in just 25% (3-12) of their shots compared to the Cavalier's 46.2% (6-13).
  • Once again, Walsh held onto the lead a majority of quarter at a total of 6:58 with the leading score.
  • With 2:15 left in play, the Cavaliers reached their fifth team foul. They then had a run of fouls that put the Arrows on the free throw line three more times.
  • With UC shooting 83% (10-12) from the FT line, this locked in the Arrows 38-37 lead going into the break.
  • Kline and Stottsberry both scored 11 points for the Arrows in the first half.
 
THIRD QUARTER
  • Ursuline hit their stride out of the half, stepping up both offensively and defensively.
  • They held WU to shoot 18.8% from the field while simultaneously shooting 66.7% themselves.
  • A layup by Madison Cloonan at the 2:56 mark set the Arrows off on a nine point unanswered scoring run to end the quarter.
  • Outscoring WU 18-10, UC sat with 56-47 lead going into the final quarter.
 
FOURTH QUARTER
  • Walsh fought hard for the comeback and played great defense to keep the Arrows shooting just 14.3%.
  • However, the Arrows went into the bonus and fired off eight free throws to help outscore Walsh 12-11.
  • Michaela shot 100% (4-4) from the free throw line this quarter.
  • The Arrows pulled ahead with a 68-58 victory.

  • FG PERCENTAGE: Arrows 38.9% (21-54), Cavaliers 35.5% (22-62).
  • 3-PT PERCENTAGE: Arrows 13.3% (2-15), Cavaliers 32.1% (9-28).
  • FREE THROW PERCENTAGE: Arrows 77.4% (24-31), Cavaliers 55.6% (5-9)
  • REBOUNDS: Arrows 46 (14 offensive), Cavaliers 31 (9 offensive).
  • ASSISTS/TURNOVERS: Arrows 9/18, Cavaliers 11/18.
  • Sophia Kline led with a double-double, posting up 21 points and a career high of 13 rebounds. She added in three blocked shots.
  • Three Arrows followed up in the double digits; Michaela Cloonan with 16 points, Riley Stopp with 13 and Madyson Stottsberry with 12.
  • The Arrows remain undefeated at home at 6-0 and 11-2 overall.
