The Ursuline College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of William Morgan-Hurt as the Head Tennis Coach.
William is currently the Head boys and girls Tennis Coach for Shaker Heights City Schools and has seen great success since his start in April of 2022. He previously was the Director of Tennis for Advantage Cleveland where managed the implementation and development of tennis programs for inter-city youth.
Athletic Director, Cindy McKnight stated: "We are looking forward to seeing the team excel under William as the Head Coach. He brings an extensive background in coaching tennis in the greater Cleveland area which will be beneficial to the growth of the program."Â
Prior to his time coaching tennis, William spent 25 years as probation officer in various criminal justice systems. He oversaw adults on probation, suggesting alternative sentencing recommendations and conducting pre-sentence selective intervention and deferred judgment investigations as needed. He also would ensure offenders successfully completed assigned probation treatment plans under court order and provided counseling to families and offenders.

William played collegiate tennis at Shorter College in Rome, GA where he earned his Bachelors degree. His Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling is from Webster University in Columbia, SC.
The Arrows begin their season under first year head coach on March 17
