Ursuline College soccer opened their season with a 1-0 win over Clarion University on Sunday afternoon.

The Arrows held possession for a majority of the first half, outshooting Clarion 8-2. Goalkeeper
Kathy Reich made a great save in the eighth minute as a shot went towards the bottom right of the goal. Despite UC's four shots on goal, the score was tied 0-0 at the half.

Just four minutes into the second, a pass from
Fallon Joyce to
Fiona Rombach set up
Odessa Strizzi for a shot. Strizzi scored the Arrows first goal of the season, locking in the win at 1-0.

Ursuline outshot Clarion 20-2 and had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Arrows have their home opener this Thursday, September 1
st against Wheeling University at 4:00 pm.
