The Ursuline College lacrosse team had their first conference game of the season on Wednesday versus the University of Findlay, falling 5-19.

The Oilers got off to a strong start in the first quarter, outshooting the Arrows 13-3 and landing seven of these shots in the goal. Findlay scored two more in the second quarter before
Jillian Guiles put the arrows on the board in a man up opportunity. The Oilers led 9-1 at the break.

The Arrows came out of the break with a push for a comeback, scoring within the first minute of play off a shot from
Allie Marks. After a foul from the Oilers shortly after,
Paige Jankowski took a free position shot and scored her first goal of the season. This brought the game to 9-3 before Findlay put in five unanswered goals to finish the quarter.

Ursuline picked up their defense in the fourth quarter, holding the Oilers to just six shots. Jankowski scored her second goal of the game within the first thirty seconds of play. Findlay answered quickly with a goal of their own before fouling Paige once again, providing her with another free position attempt. Jankowski followed through and scored her third goal of the game, a hat-trick performance for this sophomore midfielder.

Findlay scored four more goals before the end of the fourth, finalizing the game at 19-5. Arrow's Goalkeeper,
Madison Kettlewood, had 12 saves for the day on 31 total shots on goal.

The Arrows are slated to play their next conference match up against Tiffin University on Wednesday, March 30
th at 5:00 pm.
