Box Score The Ursuline College volleyball team swept Walsh University in three sets in their home opener on Friday night.

The Arrows came out strong from the start, both offensively and defensively, and won the first set 25-18. Middle Blockers, Jami Turay and Maleah Gibbons, set the pace of the game hitting .412 and .400 with 2 and 3 blocks each.

In an exciting second set, UC fought for their 25-21 win. Sarah Miozzi averaged 12 assists per set and Senior Libero, Leah LaPinta, led an impenetrable defense as the Arrows put up a team total of 58 digs. The third set was neck and neck but Ursuline came out on top with a 25-22 win. Pin hitters had 27 kills collectively, Devin Gerth leading the pack with 12 kills and a .304 hitting percentage.

The Arrows take on Malone University for back to back home games on Saturday, September 25th at 6:00 pm
