The Ursuline Arrows soccer team defeated Malone University in the first conference game of the season, 4-3. Freshman,
Nicola Ehrbar, led the team with a hat trick in this competitive match up.

The Arrows came out strong with a quick goal off the start in just the second minute of play. The goal came from Ehrbar and wasn't rebutted until the 35
th minute of play by Pioneer's Junior, Savannah Ebin. Ursuline outshot Malone 13-3 in the first half, with 5-1 corner kicks.

Hannah Pickens started the second half scoring on the 46
th minute. The unassisted goal tipped in off of the post, making the score 2-1. Ehrbar got her second goal of the game at the 55
th minute off a pass from Senior,
Fallon Joyce.

Malone came back in the 58
th minute with a goal from Cayde Koballa. After back and forth action,
Nicola Ehrbar completed her hat trick in the 64
th minute, the first hat trick of her freshman campaign. A final goal from the Pioneers finalized the score at 4-3. Arrows Goalie,
Kathy Reich had a total of three saves for the game.

Ursuline will be back on their home field this Saturday, September 18th against Cedarville University at 12:00 pm.
