In game one, trailing 5-0 in the sixth inning, the Arrows broke up the shut out with a pair of runs. Game two saw the Ursuline offense strike for three runs in the first two innings to take an early lead over the Cardinals. In the first inning, Sara Fessler drew a walk and stole second base to move into scoring position with one out. After a ground out by Tara Backherms, Gallagher reached on an error by the right fielder that allowed Fessler to score to make it 1-0. In the second inning, Kat Ferretti started the inning with a base hit up the middle and Buttolph followed with a base hit through the left side to put two on with no outs. After a strike out from Jovanna Herrera, Fessler doubled down the right field line to score Ferretti to make it 3-0.

Wheeling pulled to within a run with a pair of runs in the third inning, but the Arrows offense answered in the top of the fourth inning. Herrera picked up a one-out single to center and moved to second on a ground out by Fessler and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Backherms came through with an RBI single to make it 4-2 and Baratta knocked in a run with a base hit up the middle to extend the lead to 5-2.

The Cardinals battled back again and added two runs in the home half of the fifth inning and with two outs in the seventh inning got a walk-off three-run home run to claim game two 7-5.
