The Ursuline College softball team made it two consecutive series sweeps with a pair of road wins at Ohio Valley on Friday afternoon.
The Arrows offense jumped on the Fighting Scots starter in the first inning by plating four runs.
Jovanna Herrera started the game with a double to center field and
Sara Fessler followed with an infield single to put two on with no outs.
Alyssa Baratta drove in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly that scored Herrera to make it 1-0.

Nicole Rawlings followed with a single to center to score Fessler to make it 2-0.
Emily Shrader got the fourth hit of the inning wit h base hit to center.
Kiley Gallagher delivered an RBI single to score Rawlings and
Ashley Buttolph capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0.

After the Fighting Scots climbed back in the game in the second inning with a pair of runs, Ursuline's offense once again had a big inning in the third. Baratta started the inning with a base hit and Rawlings followed with a two-run home run to make it 6-2.
Maddie Fields drove in a run with a ground out to short to make it 7-2 and Herrera reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Buttolph to score to make it 8-2.

Ashlee Zientek picked up the win with two innings of scoreless work out of the bullpen while allowing four hits and walking one. Rawlings notched her first save of the season with four innings of work while allowing an unearned run on three hits while striking out four.

Rawlings finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run, three runs batted in and a pair of runs scored. Baratta was 2-fo-3 with an RBI and a run scored while Buttolph finished 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles.

Game two saw the Arrows get on the board in the first inning after a pair of walks to Herrera and Fessler. After Baratta reached on an error, Fessler stole home to make it 1-0.

In the third inning,
Kat Ferretti started the frame with a base hit back up the middle that found its way into center field. Herrera then walked to put two runners on with no outs. Fessler picked up a bunt single and Baratta grounded out to second that allowed Ferretti to score to make it 2-0. Rawlings drove in another run with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0.

Ohio Valley rallied to take the lead in the bottom of the third inning with four runs to make it 4-3 after three innings of play.

Trailing 4-3 in the fourth inning, Ursuline reclaimed the lead with a pair of runs. Buttolph started things out with a base hit to left field and Fields reached on a bunt. Feretti grounded out to short and allowed Buttolph to score to make it 4-4. The Arrows went back in front after Fessler reached on an error to make it 5-4.

The Arrows went on to plate six unanswered runs in the final two innings to pick up the win in game two.

Ursuline will return home on Monday when they will host Lake Erie College at 3:00 PM in a double header.
