The Ursuline College lacrosse team won a thrilling 12-11 game with visiting Ashland University on Sunday afternoon in non-conference play.

The Arrows scored first in the opening five minutes when
Michaela Riley got a ball past the goalie to make it 1-0.

After Ashland scored the next two goals,
Emily Polivick scored to tie the game 2-2 and
Allie Marks followed to give Ursuline the lead back at 3-2.

The two teams traded goals over the next several minutes. Marks scored again on a pass from
Jillian Guiles to make it 4-3 and Guiles then added a man-up goal with 9:00 to play in the half to put Ursuline in front 5-4.

Riley scored again with just under eight minutes to play in the half to make it 6-5 at the break.

The Arrows built an 8-5 lead after a goal from
Jaclyn Gilmore with 26:51 to play in the game. The Eagles responded with four answered goals to make it 9-8.

Grace London scored her first goal of the game with a man advantage to tie the game again at 9-9 with 16:24 to play. Gilmore scored again with just under 11 minutes to play to even the score once again at 10-10.

With 2:29 to play, London scored again to make it 11-11.

In overtime,
Madi Mamoone scored a man-up goal on a pass from Riley to give the Arrows the overtime victory.

Ashland and Ursuline each attempted 30 shots and senior goalkeeper
Emily Hall notched 16 saves for the Arrows in the win.

The Arrows held a 22-21 edge in groundballs and forced 21 turnovers while committing only 16.
Â
Ursuline will return to conference play on Tuesday with a trip to Findlay.
