The Ursuline College softball team split a doubleheader with Cedarville University at home on Tuesday afternoon.

The Arrows took game one in come-from-behind fashion 4-3 and the Yellow Jackets won the second game 14-1.

After two scoreless innings, Cedarville broke through with a single run in the third inning and a two-run fourth inning to gain a 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ursuline's offense broke through against Casey Bertke. With one out,
Sara Fessler got things started with a single to right field and
Nicole Rawlings followed with a base hit to left field.
Alyssa Baratta singled back up the middle to score Fessler to make it 3-1.

Kiley Gallagher drove in a run with a pinch hit single to score
Matyson Michalski to make it 3-2.
Jaqi Vallejo followed with an RBI single that hugged the first base line that allowed Baratta to score and tie the game 3-3.

The Arrows got some heads up baserunning to score the go-ahead run when Vallejo stole second and
Savannah Hicks stole home to make it 4-3.

Rawlings retired Cedarville in the seventh inning to preserve the win.

Ursuline outhit Cedarville 9-6 in game two.
