The Ursuline College soccer team got a game-winning goal from junior
Fallon Joyce on a free kick in the 102
nd minute to defeat Lake Erie 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Arrows struck quickly for the second consecutive game when less than two minutes into the game freshman
Lidia Rodin scored on a perfectly placed cross pass from sophomore
Megan Couthino to make it 1-0.

The Storm answered with a goal in the 18
th minute by Haley Scherer on a ball that was affected by the wind and blew back toward the Ursuline goal.

The game remained tied until the 102
nd minute when Joyce found the back of the net for her first career game-winning goal.

Lake Erie outshot Ursuline 20-11 in the game but the Arrows held a 8-4 edge on corner kicks. The Storm had nine shots on goal while Ursuline had seven.

The Arrows will travel to Ohio Valley University to take on the Fighting Scots at 1:00 PM. The game will be played in Charleston, West Virginia.
