The Ursuline College softball dropped a pair of road games at Tiffin University on Monday afternoon.

The Dragons took game one 8-0 in six innings and came from behind to take the second game 12-9.

After picking up just two hits in the first game, the Arrows offense came out swinging early and often in game two.

In the first inning, freshman
Jovanna Herrera started the inning with a walk and moved to third on a base hit by junior
Nicole Rawlings. After sophomore
Tara Backherms reached on a fielders' choice,
Alyssa Baratta drove in a pair of runs with a base hit to make it 2-0.

Tiffin cut the lead in half in the bottom of the first inning with a two-out RBI single to make it 2-1.

The Arrows responded with a five-run second inning to extend the lead to 7-1.
Kat Ferretti started the inning with a base hit and with one out Herrera picked up a single.
Sara Fessler followed with a base hit to score Ferretti to make it 3-1. After a walk to Rawlings, Backherms reached on an error that allowed Herrera to score to make it 4-1. Baratta delivered again in the clutch with a two-run double to make it 6-1. A groundout from
Savannah Hicks made it 7-1.

Leading 7-1 in the third inning, Herrera picked up another base hit and Fessler drove her in with a double to make it 8-1.

Tiffin cut into the Arrows lead in the fourth inning with a pair of runs to make it 8-3 and then plated nine runs in the fifth inning to take a 12-8 lead.

Baratta finished the game 3-for-4 with five runs driven in while Fessler was 2-for-3 with two runs batted in and she also scored a pair. Herrera finished with two hits and scored three runs.

Ursuline will host Cedarville University on Tuesday afternoon starting at 1:00 PM. Live stats and video will be available for the first game only. Game two will be posted following the conclusion of the game.
