The Ursuline College volleyball team opened the long awaited 2021 season with a tough five set battle against the Great Midwest's preseason second ranked team in Tiffin University on the road on Friday night.
Tiffin controlled the temp of the match in the first set and won 25-13 and took a 2-0 lead in the match by winning a much closer second set 25-22.
Ursuline's offense took control in the third set and won 25-18 and won the fourth set 25-22 to force a fifth and deciding set.
With the match tied 7-7, the Dragons rattled off three-straight points to make it 10-7. The Arrows would cut the deficit to 12-9 before Tiffin put the match away 15-10.

Devin Gerth who had 16 kills and 17 digs for her first double-double of the season. Freshman
Abigail Aguilera-Ayala finished with 15 kills while junior
Nora Clink had seven kills. Junior
Regan Nickol had 41 assists while senior

The Arrows will return home on Tuesday to host Ohio Valley University at 6:30 PM.
