The Ursuline College lacrosse team fell 15-14 on a goal in the final minutes against Shorter University on Saturday afternoon in Rome, Georgia.

The Arrows got out of the gates quickly as they got goals from senior
Abigail Neeley and junior
Michaela Riley to grab a 2-0 advantage.
Jaclyn Gilmore added a third goal with 19:33 to play in the half to make it 3-1 and Neeley scored again to extend the lead to 4-2 with 15:49 to play in the first half.

After Shorter rallied to tie the game 4-4, Riley gave the Arrows the lead again and Gilmore followed with her second score of the game to make it 6-4 with 10:28 to play in the first half.

Late in the half,
Julia Zackey scored to make it 7-5 followed by scores from Riley and Gilmore to make it 8-5 at the break.

Neelley scored again with 15:56 to play in the second half to make it 14-7 but Shorter scored the final eight goals of the game to pull off the come from behind victory.

Shorter outshot Ursuline 31-26 on the day while the Arrows committed 25 turnovers to the Hawks 16. Shorter also held a 16-9 edge on groundballs.

Ursuline traveled to Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday afternoon to conclude their spring road trip.
