The Ursuline College basketball team shot just 27 percent from the field in a 76-50 loss to visiting Findlay on Saturday afternoon.

The Oilers raced out to a 7-0 lead in the opening minutes of the contest before
Bekah Green ended the run with a free throw and
Morgan Mattimore connected on a jumper to make it 13-3. Senior
Paige Salisbury beat the first quarter buzzer with a three-pointer to make it 13-6 after one.

Ursuline shot just 2-for-14 from the floor and 1-for-8 from the arc in the opening 10 minutes of play.

Junior
Julia Cardwell hit a three-pointer to pull Ursuline within six at 15-9 with just under nine minutes remaining in the half but Findlay responded with another 7-0 run to build the lead back up to 25-9 forcing an Ursuline timeout.

The Arrows trailed 39-19 at the break after shooting 4-for-15 in the second quarter.

Ursuline finished the afternoon 16-of-58 from the field and 5-of-28 from the three-point line while Findlay shot 27-of-39 (39 percent) from the floor and 7-of-20 from deep. The Arrows were 13-of-19 from the free throw line while the Oilers were 15-of-21.

Findlay out rebounded Ursuline 44-21 while also holding an 11-6 edge in steals. Ursuline blocked a season-high seven shots.

The Arrows were led by Mattimore who finished with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting while Salisbury added nine points. Cardwell and
Jennah Taylor each pitched in eight points.

Ursuline will begin a four-game road trip to round out the regular season on Thursday when they travel to Tiffin University to take on the Dragons. Ursuline won the previous meeting back in January 83-70 in Pepper Pike.
