The Ursuline College basketball team dropped a 93-66 road decision at Ferris State on Thursday evening to begin a three-game road trip that continues Saturday at Northwood.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
Ursuline built an early lead less than three minutes into the game when freshman
Tamara Mathis made it 7-3. Sophomore Bekah Green pushed the lead to 9-5 with just under seven minutes to play in the opening quarter.
Â
Freshman
Aubrie Marsh extended the lead to 14-7 before Ferris State started a 12-2 run to close the quarter with a 21-16 lead.
Â
STAT OF THE NIGHT
Â
The Bulldogs took advantage of 27 Arrow turnovers that were converted into 33 points.
Â
The 27 turnovers were a season-high for Ursuline just five games into the season.
Â
CONSISTENT START
Â
Green has scored in double-figures in all five games to start the season and her 18 points against Ferris State matched a season-high that she had in the opener against Quincy.
Â
She finished the game 6-for-14 from the field including 2-for-3 from the three-point line and 4-of-6 from the free throw line. She dished out six assists and only had two turnovers in 34 minutes.
Â
UP NEXT
