The Ursuline College soccer team took a season-high 30 shots in a 3-1 road victory at Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday night.

Hannah Pickens scored in her second straight game to put the Arrows in front in the first half in the 13
th minute to make it 1-0.

Off a corner kick, a mistake by the Ursuline defense led to Kentucky Wesleyan tying the game on a goal credited to Natalie Hinchcliffe to make it 1-1.

The game remained tied at the intermission.

In the 51
st minute, senior
Brooke Mahabir finished a header on a pass from Pickens to put the Arrows back in front 2-1.

After a handball was called on the Panthers in the box, senior
Sarah Mitchell converted a penalty kick to make it 3-1. It was the fourth goal of the season for Mitchell, which is a career high.

The Arrows out shot the Panthers 30-9 in the game including 14-5 in shots on goal. Ursuline took nine corner kicks compared to just two for Kentucky Wesleyan.

The 30 shots were on the most in a game for Ursuline since they attempted 38 shots in a 2015 match-up with Salem International.

Ursuline will conclude its southern swing with a trip to Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday to take on Trevecca Nazarene at 3:00 PM EST.
