The Ursuline College swimming team won 29-17 over Tiffin and fell to host Ashland University in their first double-dual meet of 2019.

In the 100-yard backstroke, junior Emma Hastings finished third with a time of 1:12.98 while freshman Sam Utterback was fourth in a time of 1:20.17.

Sophomore Jana Biss won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:19.77 while the relay team of Hastings, Utterback, Biss and freshman Kristen Patrick won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:35.08.

Ursuline will travel to Oberlin College next Saturday, January 19 as they will compete against host Oberlin and Ohio Northern University.
