The Ursuline College soccer team bounced back from a tough road loss on Thursday as they shut out Tiffin University 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Arrows and Dragons played a scoreless first half win which Ursuline outshot Tiffin 8-7 but both goalkeepers kept the shut out intact.

Ursuline scored early in the second half, in the 48
th minute when senior
Megan Rafac scored from outside the box on an assist from freshman
Theron Ruff to make it 1-0. Less than a minute late, sophomore
Jarah Froehlich found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.

Gina Cerny notched 10 saves in her first shutout of the season. The Arrows were outshot 16-14 on the game but both squads put 10 shots on goal apiece.

The Arrows held the edge 8-5 in corner kicks on the afternoon.

Ursuline returns home to take on Ohio Dominican University on Thursday at 4:00pm.
