The Ursuline College soccer team bounced back from a tough road loss on Thursday as they shut out Tiffin University 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Arrows and Dragons played a scoreless first half win which Ursuline outshot Tiffin 8-7 but both goalkeepers kept the shut out intact.
 
Ursuline scored early in the second half, in the 48^th minute when senior Megan Rafac scored from outside the box on an assist from freshman Theron Ruff to make it 1-0. Less than a minute late, sophomore Jarah Froehlich found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Gina Cerny notched 10 saves in her first shutout of the season. The Arrows were outshot 16-14 on the game but both squads put 10 shots on goal apiece.
 
The Arrows held the edge 8-5 in corner kicks on the afternoon.
 
Ursuline returns home to take on Ohio Dominican University on Thursday at 4:00pm.
