The Ursuline College lacrosse team opened up their spring trip this weekend with a win over Wilmington College on Saturday before falling to West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday.

The Arrows struck quickly against the Quakers after the sophomore trip of
Victoria Madray,
Abby Allard and
Natalie Nowicki all found the back of the net to make it 3-0 less than three minutes into the game.

Michaela Riley added back-to-back goals around the 22:00 minute mark before freshman
Julia Zackey scored her first career goal with 20:00 to play in the first half to increase the Ursuline lead to 6-1.

The Arrows had a 10-1 lead at the break and outscored Wilmington 7-3 in the second half in route to their first win over the season.

Ursuline outshot Wilmington 41-9 in the game and won the groundball battle 37-22.

Sarah Bader all had three goals for Ursuline.

On Sunday, the Arrows trailed 9-2 at the half against West Virginia Wesleyan but came back and outscored the Bobcats 8-5 in the second half before falling 14-10.

Each team took 37 shots in Sunday's contest with Ursuline holding a slight edge at 26-22 in shots on goal.

Bader added three more goals for Ursuline while senior
Cydney Bartlett also scored three times.

The Arrows will conclude their trip on Tuesday with a trip to Shepherd University in West Virginia.
