The Ursuline College lacrosse team dropped a tough road game on Wednesday evening 21-17 to Siena Heights in Adrian, Michigan.

The Arrows got two early goals from freshman
Julia Zackey and sophomore
Natalie Nowicki to keep the game tied 2-2 with 23:00 to play in the first half.

The Saints responded with three unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead before Nowicki found the back of the net for a second time and senior
Cydney Bartlett scored to make it 6-4 at the half way mark of the first.

Trailing 8-7 with 5:56 to play in the first half, sophomore
Michaela Riley scored to make it 8-7 and Bartlett added her third goal of the game to tie the game up 8-8. Nowicki then scored again to make it 9-8 in the final seconds of the half.

The Arrows offense kept rolling in the second half when junior
Abigail Neeley scored to make it 11-8 after Bartlett opened the half with a goal. Ursuline built a 12-8 lead with 23:39 remaining before Siena Heights started their comeback.

Ursuline pulled to within 18-16 with 5:57 to play before the Saints scored three of the last four goals to take the game 21-17.

The Saints outshot Ursuline 44-31 but the shots on goal were close to even at 31-28 in favor of Siena Heights.

Bartlett led Ursuline with seven goals which is the third most scored in a game by a player in program history and tied a career-high.Â

Nowicki finished with four goals and Riley and Neeley each had two goals apiece.

Ursuline continues conference play on Saturday when they to Findlay at 3:00 PM.
