The Ursuline College volleyball team dropped a five-set home match on Wednesday night to Notre Dame College.
The Arrows opened the match by taking the first set 25-22 after the two teams traded points back-and-forth throughout the set.
Notre Dame College evened the match up by taking the second set 25-15 be and pulled ahead by winning the third set 25-18.
Ursuline responded by rallying and pulling out a 25-23 win in the fourth set to force a fifth and deciding set.
After again rallying and tying the match 13-13 in the late portion of the deciding set, the Falcons scored the final two points to win 15-13 and take the match.
Ursuline was led by sophomore
Vikki Henderson who finished with 18 kills while fellow sophomore Angie Zamora added 11 and freshman
Jessie Lee had nine. Freshman
Krisandra Mezera had a career-high five blocks while sophomore
Jill Morrow had three. Junior
Katelyn Selleny had 44 assists while Lee led the team in Digs with 19.
The Arrows will return to Great Midwest play on Friday with a trip to Canton, Ohio take on Malone starting at 7:00pm. The game can be viewed live on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
