The Ursuline College soccer team notched their second-straight shutout and third overall at home in 2017 with a 5-0 win over visiting Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon.

Ursuline struck first in the sixth minute of the game when sophomore
Brooke Mahabir played a ball to redshirt sophomore
Allie Moening who then connected with senior
Steph Chlad to make it 1-0.

Chlad has now scored eight goals on the year to lead the Arrows.

Moening added the second Arrows goal in the 22
nd minute off a rebound to make it 2-0 at the intermission.

In the 54
th minute, freshman
Kara Martin scored her first career goal on a breakaway to increase the Arrows lead to 3-0. Four minutes later, sophomore
Chiara Baker rebounded a shot from freshman
Jarah Froelich into the back of the net to make it 4-0.

th minute, senior
Morgan Bowman scored her first goal of the season to make it 5-0.

The Arrows outshot the Battlers 20-6 in the game including 12-4 in shots on a goal. Ursuline goalkeeper freshman
Gina Cerny made four saves while picking up her third shutout of the season.

Ursuline will remain home on Thursday when they host Malone in another Great Midwest match starting at 3:30 PM.Â
