The Ursuline College soccer team picked up a Great Midwest win at home on Thursday afternoon by blanking Davis & Elkins 2-0 to improve to 2-2 in conference play.

The Arrows broke a scoreless game in the 21
st minute when senior
Steph Chlad scored her sixth goal of the season off an assist from redshirt sophomore
Allie Moening to make it 1-0.

Ursuline took the 1-0 advantage into the half after allowing just one shot by Davis & Elkins in the first half.

The Arrows got their second goal of the game again from Chlad in the 76
th minute off a pass from freshman
Kara Martin to make it 2-0. Chlad has now scored seven goals on the season which is a new career high after scoring five all of 2016.

Ursuline outshot Davis & Elkins 17-1 in the game and 10 of the Arrows shots came on goal.

The Arrows will remain home on Saturday afternoon to take on Alderson Broaddus at 2:30pm.Â
