The Ursuline College volleyball team dropped a hard fought three set match to visiting Lake Erie College on Tuesday night.
The Arrows came out strong in the first set by scoring the first five points before building a 14-4 advantage over the first-place Storm.
Lake Erie fought back and tied the match 17-17 before the two teams traded points to tie the set at 22-22. The Storm went onto win the opening set 25-22.
The Storm picked up where they left off at the end of the first set and controlled the second set before winning 25-7.
The Arrows put together a strong third set with another solid start by scoring four of the first five points. Ursuline built its lead to 16-11 before Lake Erie pulled to within a point at 18-17.
The Storm won the final set 25-23 for their seventh straight victory.
Ursuline was led by sophomore
Vikki Henderson who finished with nine kills while fellow sophomore Angie Zamora added eight and freshman
Hannah Hottinger had seven and added a pair of blocks.
The Arrows will travel to Ohio Dominican on Thursday as they continue Great Midwest play against the Panthers at 7:00 PM. The game can be viewed live on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
