The Ursuline College soccer team erased an early 3-0 deficit but fell 4-3 on the road at The University of Findlay on Saturday afternoon in Great Midwest conference play.

The Oilers got a goal in the opening six minutes from Samantha Church on a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead. Four minutes later Chole Marburger converted the second goal of the game to make it 2-0. Findlay's third score came in the 12
th minute when Karleigh Clere scored to make it 3-0.

Ursuline's offense got started in the 15
th minute when senior
Steph Chlad finished a pass from senior
Taylor Dackin on the right side to make it 3-1. Dackin then scored a goal of her own on a pass from sophomore
Anya Miller to cut the deficit to 3-2 at the half.

Marburger added her second goal of the game in the second half to make it 4-2. Chlad scored her second goal of the game, this time unassisted, to make it 4-3 with under ten minutes to play.

Ursuline edged Findlay in total shots 19-18 but the Oilers had 11 shots on goal to the Arrows nine. Freshman goalkeeper
Gina Cerny made seven saves.

The Arrows return home on Thursday, September 21 to host Davis & Elkins in a re-match of last season's G-MAC Championship game. The match will begin at 3:30pm.Â
