West Liberty Game Notes
The Ursuline College basketball team has a quick turn around when they host West Liberty University on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.

Last Weekend
Â
Both Ursuline and West Liberty participated in Regional Challenges on the opening weekend of the 17-18 season.
Â
The Hilltoppers played in the Mountain East/P-SAC Challenge in which they fell to #10 California (PA) on Saturday 68-61 and then bounced back to defeat Mercyhurst 76-55 on Sunday.

Ursuline took on a tough Ferris State team on Friday and fell 81-75 and then dropped another close one with #21 Michigan Tech 81-67 on Saturday.

The Series

The Arrows and Hilltoppers have met one prior time before Tuesday's game. West Liberty defeated Ursuline 107-70 back in December of 2014 in a game played at Notre Dame College.

Ursuline's
Shannon Sword has transformed the basketball program as she enters her sixth season. The two-time G-MAC Coach of the Year has led the Arrows to back-to-back Regular Season G-MAC Championships and a 2016 G-MAC Tournament Championship win. She is 74-71 in her six seasons at the helm.

West Liberty's Kyle Cooper is in his first season as Head Coach of the Hilltoppers. He has been a longtime assistant at West Liberty prior to being named the Head Coach this past summer.

Key Match-up

Ursuline's
Laney Lewis and West Liberty's Marissa Brown will be a match-up to keep an eye on. Brown, a transfer from Division I Youngstown State University was efficient last weekend in the opening two contests.

She's averaging 16.5 points per game while pulling down seven rebounds per contest.
Â
Lewis had a 26-point performance in the loss to Michigan Tech and registered her second double-double to start the season. Lewis pulled down 18 rebounds in the Friday afternoon game with Ferris State.

What to Watch For
Â
West Liberty attempted 58 three-pointers out of their 118 total field goals in the opening two games. The Hilltoppers shot 35 percent as a team (20-for-58) from the three-point line while Brandi Beaner was 8-for-16.
