The Ursuline College soccer team used a late goal by senior
Steph Chlad to take a 1-0 road victory over Trevecca Nazarene University on Thursday evening in Nashville.

The Arrows offense got out to a slow start in the first half after being outshot 7-2 but the defense kept the match tied headed into the half.

In the second half, Ursuline closed the gap on shots but Trevecca still held a 11-8 advantage before a late foul set up the matches lone goal.

Taylor Dackin played a free kick into the box that bounced around off several defenders before senior
Steph Chlad placed it in the back of the net to give the Arrows a 1-0 lead with under 12 minutes to play.

The goal for Chlad was her career-high ninth goal of the year and she still ranks amongst the top five in NCAA Division II for goals scored this season.

Gina Cerny notched ten saves in the win.

The Arrows were travel to Owensboro, Kentucky on Saturday afternoon to take on Kentucky Wesleyan at Noon. Â
