The Ursuline College soccer team erased an early 1-0 deficit as they knocked off the defending G-MAC tournament champion Cedarville 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Cedarville wasted little time getting on the scoreboard when Hannah Atkinson found the back of the net to give the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 lead.
Ursuline got the offense going in the 27th minute when junior Steph Chlad found freshman Jill Bohling to tie the match 1-1.
Bohling was not done scoring as the G-MAC's leading goal scorer picked up her eighth goal of the season in the 54th minute and followed it up with her third goal of the match in the 61st minute for her first-career hat-trick.
The freshman Bohling has now scored nine goals in the first eight matches of her collegiate career.
Ursuline outshot Cedarville 15-5 in the match and the three goals marked the most scored this season. Senior goalkeeper Helen Jazzar made three saves.
The win gives Ursuline a one-point lead over Trevecca Nazarene for first place in the G-MAC after the Trojans blanked Davis & Elkins 2-0 on Saturday.
The Arrows will take a brief break from conference play as they travel to Lake Erie College on Tuesday.
