The Ursuline College volleyball team will open its 2016 season at the IUP Crimson Hawk Tournament beginning on Friday, September 2.
 
The Arrows will play the host IUP on Friday at 2:00pm followed by a match with Roberts Wesleyan (NY.) at 4:30pm.
 
IUP finished last season 17-15 overall and 9-13 in the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks were picked fourth in the PSAC Southwest Division pre-season coaches poll. IUP features 11 returners including three seniors who have played in 248 combined matches during their career.
 
Of the three returning seniors, Lindsay Moeller ranks fourth in school history with 2,305 career assists entering 2016.
 
Roberts Wesleyan is coming off a 2016 season in which they went 2-23 and 2-14 in the East Coast Conference (ECC). The Redhawks were picked tied for seventh in their preseason coaches poll.
 
Ursuline will take on Holy Family on Saturday at 10:00am and conclude the tournament with a match against West Liberty at 3:00pm.
 
Holy Family finished 12-19 last season and 11-8 in their conference. The Arrows defeated the Tigers last season 3-1 in the opening match of the season. Holy Family was picked third in the CACC South Division.
 
West Liberty finished 2015 with a 15-18 mark and went 8-8 in the MEC. The Hilltoppers are picked sixth in their preseason poll.
 
Ursuline will remain on the road September 9-10 when they travel to Owensboro, Kentucky for the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.
